You might be like our client Sally* who wanted to go international in her sport. Her work pressures and home stress affected her competition performance.
Through following methodical steps in our program, combined with developing a bespoke approach to her situation; Sally was able to reduce the external clutter and eliminate her performance paralysis (and also ask her boss for a pay rise) while taking more deliberate actions towards achieving her vision to be where she wants to be.
You might see Sally representing Australia one day!!
Or, you might be like Heather* who suffered a career ending injury so needed to figure out "what next?"
We worked hard together through the grief of losing her sport, but eventually were able to find a new vision and goals for her to work towards. This included strategies to deal with her frustration, along with embracing acceptance and surrender. Heather even found a new outlet to help her stay active and help her mental health and still works in her original sport, mentoring and coaching the next generation.
Sharon* is a mum to two young girls who was worn out, overworked, underpaid and underappreciated - both at home and at work. She shared with me that she was constantly on edge and prone to overreacting over minor experiences.
Through our program we worked with Sharon to develop techniques and strategies to calm her nervous system and remove negative "groundhog day" repeating patterns that were restricting her day to day. In doing so, Sharon was able to take back power and control in her life and Revive a past passion that had been pushed aside.
She is now Thriving in a new work environment that gives her more flexibility.
Katherine* was returning to sport after injury and was lacking confidence in herself and her body. Her nerves were getting the better of her and was wrought with guilt and worry of recommencing sport instead of focusing on her work and family.
Using what she learned in the R2T program, Katherine mapped out her "back to sport" rehabilitation plan, key bench-markers to hit, removed time frame pressure, and included her family in her training. We also worked together on developing her resilience and focus to help mindset and nervous system responses to keep feelings of overwhelm at bay.
Katherine has returned to playing sport and has also created a more balanced life-system that includes family and work.
Or, you might be like me. At one point of my life I was pushing myself to climb the corporate ladder, work longer hours, earn more money, while trying to compete in my sport at a higher level, be a present parent to young boys and be a half-decent wife. I was always up against a non-existent competitor.
As a showjumper, this long list of unrelated factors caused a trigger stacking response which led to a fall off my horse and a week in hospital.
It was through the raised awareness developed and resetting what I thought I wanted - for myself, my family and clients, that I scaled my life right back to create and communicate a new reality.
It is still a work in progress, but it is always what I aspire to and is a constant guide. If it helps prevent just ONE other person falling off a literal or metaphorical horse, I'll be happy.
There is no quick fix. To partake, you must be ready and willing to do the work for the long haul. Brain training is no different to training our bodies. There is no way to get a 6-pack overnight! But, my system has led me to results that I want to ensure can be shared with others.
Habits and behaviours can impact business operations, achievements and results for athletes and teams, but equally for family dynamics, team work and communications in the home. This is why the whole life approach is so important and the basis of all my work. I aim to elevate sport and/or business, and all the parts that make up our life and impact our performance. |
